Peat Wollaeger started doing urban-influenced designs in the 90s. Around 2002 after seeing works by artists like Banksy and Logan Hicks, he was inspired to use stencils and spray paint to reproduce his illustrations. Now stenciling is his medium of choice. Peat is Internationally known for his whimsical, raw and brightly colored stenciled characters, He also incorporate these characters into various viral videos to help promote his art and to help his audience understand the stencil process. Peat's work wil be featured in two upcoming stencil books and is preparing a new body of work for a massive exhibition in Melbourne in May of 2008. |
